In 2023 we saw the rise of the clean girl aesthetic; glowy, natural skin with a feathered brow and a bronzy hue. However, there are already signs of 2016 makeup trends coming back into fashion for 2024, with the signature cut crease and all matte base popping up on everyone’s ‘for you page’. So, what does 2024 have in store for our beautiful faces? 

My hot take for 2024 is that we will see clean girl makeup combined with the full glam that we were obsessed with in 2016; a more full courage base but with a more natural brow. Let’s face it, the anastasia dip brow stage was not the peak of beauty trends. 

I do think the dramatic eyeshadow that many used to sport will crop back up in 2024; there is nothing wrong with looking like we are going clubbing. No more using our bronzer for a slight bit of eyeshadow - bring back the bold colours with some top tier shimmer!

At the moment, the concept of a summer glow seems to be the theme for 2024. I have already started seeing lip tints emerging, and I have to say, I don’t hate that idea. Having that slightly coloured look to our lips, especially in the winter months, when lips are chapped and pale. 

One of my favourites has to be the potentially over usage of a pinky blush - my family and boyfriend call me noddy because I absolutely love having that slightly sunkissed look to my face. That tinge you only otherwise get when you have been laying in the sun for too long; bordering on burnt. I think being a blush addict is the way to go, it is such a cute look!

Keeping with the theme of that summer look, the all year round bronzy glow goes hand in hand with the blush look - it is the essential way of always looking healthy and not being tainted by that cold winter weather.
